Editorial policy

Sources. Every story lists the reports, statements and documents it relies on. We aim for at least two independent sources, and we say clearly when a claim rests on one source or has not been verified.

Quotes. Quotes are checked against the published source and attributed to the outlet that reported them. We do not invent or tidy quotes; translations are marked as such.

Fairness. We separate what is established from what is alleged, include denials and responses where they exist, and avoid speculation about crimes, causes of accidents or private wealth.

Images. We use public-domain or properly licensed photographs with credits, or our own typographic cards. We avoid graphic images and pictures of children.

Independence. Zimbo Grapevine is published by TAFUMA LIMITED. We do not accept payment for coverage. Any sponsored content would be clearly labelled.

Comments policy

• Comments are moderated and appear only after we approve them.
• No abuse, harassment, threats, hate speech or spam.
• No defamation: do not accuse named people of crimes or wrongdoing without a published, reliable source.
• No personal data: do not post phone numbers, addresses or other private details, yours or anyone else’s.
• We may edit out personal data, or remove any comment, at our discretion.
